IPHIS AND IANTHE
ADAPTED FROM OVID AND ALI SMITH
An adaptation of the story of Iphis and Ianthe from book IX of Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Ovid by way of Ali Smith by way of devised theatre. The play was performed at Carnegie Mellon School of Art’s Ellis Gallery.A dance and movement and sound work made for an intimate gallery and an intimate audience, an exploration of historical queerness.
